▲▲▲ Day Sixteen: Whale Watching ▲▲▲

Last night we finally arrived in Seattle at about 3:30 in the morning. We quickly crashed, and quickly rose for our 6:30 wake up call. We had a delicious breakfast that my uncle was cooking down in his hotel room (the kind of breakfast where bacon was cooked – it filled the WHOLE hotel up with bacon smells, which I am sure made other guests quick envious, with a sudden craving of bacon) and it was delicious. We said hello to family that I have not seen in simply ages, and Daniel was able to meet the extent of my dad’s family. Then we were off! We drove to a little seaside town north of Seattle, and there is where we embarked on our boat to go whale watching! It was a five hour tour; we saw one whale and plenty of other creatures. It really is true that a picture speaks a thousand words, so it's easiest to explain in pictures:

SEALS!

Completely in love with this boat :)

After our whale watching extravaganza, we drove back down to south Seattle, where we went downtown and ate food at a lovely little hottie-tottie Asian cuisine (sushi cuisine) restaurant. It was really cool to be sitting at a big table with about 15 of my family members, all together. It’s been at least a decade since I was with all of them, so this was a really neat thing for me! Then to have Daniel by my side… Icing on the cake.

My non-seafood dinner cuisine :)
Walking around town a little bit after dinner! I just took a few snapshots of downtown Seattle.

After dinner, we went back to the hotel. Daniel and I swam with some of my cousins and their children, then we all went back up to my cousins hotel room where we ate INCREDIBLE homemade, no-bake chocolate cake and raspberry sherbet, in celebration of my aunt and uncles birthday  It was a marvelous day today, indeed it was.
So organic, so homemade, and soooo delicious!
The perfect way to end our night tonight - surround by those we love :)
